Afro Cuban Body Movement focuses on intensive Afro Cuban style body isolation and rigorous practice in folkloric dance in order for salsa/mambo dancers of all levels to achieve their maximum potential in body movement, musicality, and fluidity of motion.

Hip Hop

Level: Beginner & Intermediate

 

Have fun locking, popping, and breakin. Classes include warm-up, foot work, and a fun hip-hop choreography to your latest favorite hip-hop songs. The Beginner Level is focused on the basic foundations of the hip-hop movement with an emphasis on hip-hop swager.The Intermediate Level is focused on faster and more complex hip-hop movement with continued emphasis on hip-hop swager.

 

Hip Hop I

Hip hop I is a beginner level class and is focused on the basic foundations and styles of the hip hop movement with an emphasis on hip hop swagger. Classes include warm-up, footwork, and a fun hip hop choreography to your latest, favorite hip hop songs.

Hip Hop II

Hip hop II is geared towards students who have taken some Hip hop classes before and is focused on faster and more complex hip hop movement with continued emphasis on hip hop swagger.

Zumba

Zumba has easy-to-follow dance steps mainly derived from Latin music. The class fuses Hypnotic Latin and international rhythms with fast and slow beats to create a routine that tones and sculpts the body while burning fat. The party like atmosphere will rejuvenate your heart, body and soul. Add some Latin flavor, international zest, and contagious smiles, and you’ve got a Zumba® class!

Hot Hula Fitness

Come and join us to burn calories Island Style with our low impact Polynesian inspired fitness format. No dance experience or equipment required. All fitness levels and ages welcome. Barefoot is best, bring water and a sarong if you have one. (We also have sarongs available for purchase). HOT HULA fitness® isolates your larger muscles groups, increasing strength, and definition to your core with specific emphasis on the abs, gluts, quads, and arms. Inspired by the dances of the Pacific Islands, HOT HULA fitness® incorporates easy to perform traditional and new dance movements set to the sounds of traditional Polynesian drum beats fused with funky Reggae music, resulting in a modern, hip fitness workout.

Indian Bollywood

Do you want to move like an Indian Bollywood star? Come learn the Bollywood art of movement at Salsa N’ Seattle! Full of passion and energy, we’ll give you a healthy dose of fun Indian culture. The class focuses on a montage of movements and different parts of the body. Throughout the month, we build a routine that fuses multiple dance styles from different parts of India. Impress your family and friends with this fresh new routine! New routine starts every month, it’s recommended that you join at the beginning of the month. Wear comfortable clothes. Street shoes are not allowed. Barefoot or jazz shoes recommended.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a deconstruction of ballet and modern even though it draws from the methods of both. It is considered “concert dance,” therefore the elements of discipline and focus logically follow the aforementioned. The students will be encouraged to push new boundaries, discover versatility, and minimize tension in the search for clarity and fluidity.

MIXXEDFIT

MixxedFit® is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and bootcamp toning.  This dance fitness program can be described as explosive – all of the movements are always big, exaggerated, full-out, and our very best. Dance to your favorite songs on the radio or nightclub. Then, spice things up by adding boot camp-inspired exercises to make your workout more effective and challenging.

U-Jam Fitness is an athletic hip-hop dance workout that combines dance and high energy world beats. The music will take you around the world from old school hip-hop to Bollywood with an athletic, intense cardio workout that makes you sweat, tones your body, and leaves your body craving more!

 

U-Jam is more than a fitness class. It's an exhilarating experience that makes you forget you're working out in a fun, approachable, and is easy-to-follow regardless of your level!
